Websites for Arizona businesses
Arizona looks like one big Phoenix metro from the outside, but a contractor in Tucson, a dentist in Flagstaff and a pool company in Gilbert serve very different customers. The Valley alone is a patchwork of cities: Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, Scottsdale, Glendale, Peoria and Surprise, each searched by name. Tucson is a separate metro two hours south. Up north, Flagstaff and Prescott have snow, pine forests and a summer crowd escaping the heat. Yuma, Lake Havasu and Sierra Vista have their own markets.
If your business is in Phoenix itself, our guide to web design in Phoenix goes deep on the city. This page is for owners who work in the rest of the state, or across several of these markets.
Where Arizona searches for web design
Phoenix dominates at 1,900 searches a month, which is why it has its own page. Scottsdale is next at 260 and Mesa at 140. Tucson and Tempe each show 70, Chandler 50, Gilbert 40 and Flagstaff 30. DataForSEO also shows "web design tucson arizona" at 480, so Tucson owners often add the state name when they search.

That's the Google map for HVAC in Tucson. AC repair is a year-round emergency search in southern Arizona, and these three spots are worth a lot.
| What people type into Google | US searches per month |
|---|---|
| web design in arizona | 110 |
| website designers arizona | 50 |
Statewide phrases are small. "Web design in arizona", "website design in arizona" and "web design in az" each show about 110 searches a month, and "web design arizona" about 50. "Arizona web design company" adds around 30.

Arizona's markets
The East Valley. Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek and Tempe. Young families, newer homes, HOAs and a lot of pool, solar, landscaping and pest work.
Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. Higher-end homes, remodels, design-build firms, med spas and boutique practices. Customers expect a polished site with real portfolio photos.
The West Valley. Glendale, Peoria, Surprise, Goodyear and Buckeye. Fast growth and new subdivisions, with many first-time homeowners.
Tucson and Southern Arizona. Older adobe and block homes, a university crowd, retirees and Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. Sierra Vista and Green Valley are nearby markets.
Northern Arizona. Flagstaff, Prescott, Sedona and Payson. Snow removal, wood stoves and cabin work in winter, tourism in summer.
The West. Yuma, Lake Havasu City and Bullhead City, with farming, winter visitors and river tourism.

ROC licenses on your site
Arizona's Registrar of Contractors licenses most contractors in the state, and homeowners can look up a license number on its website. Many do, especially for roofing, pools and remodels. We put your ROC number in the footer, on the about page and on every quote form. If you also hold city business licenses, we list those too.
Heat, monsoon and the seasons
Arizona search follows the weather. From May to September, AC repair, pool service and roof coating dominate in the low desert. The monsoon from mid-June through September brings dust storms, flash floods and wind damage, which push roofing, tree work and water damage searches. Winter is high season for remodels, landscaping and outdoor projects, plus the arrival of snowbirds who need cleaners, handymen and property managers. Up north, it's the reverse: heating and snow removal in winter, busy tourism in summer.
Pages we plan for Arizona businesses
| Page | When it's worth it |
|---|---|
| Home | Always, naming your main city and service |
| Service pages | One per service |
| City pages | Each Valley city or town you serve |
| Monsoon or summer page | Roofing, AC, pools and restoration |
| Snowbird page | Cleaners, property managers and handymen |
| About | ROC license, insurance and team |
Snowbirds and seasonal customers
Every winter, tens of thousands of retirees and part-time residents arrive in Mesa, Sun City, Scottsdale, Tucson, Green Valley, Yuma and Lake Havasu. They need house checks, cleaning, pool service, golf cart repair, landscaping and handyman work, and many manage it from another state for much of the year. A page written for them, explaining how you look after a home while they're away and how they can reach you from out of state, brings steady work. Pages for 55-plus communities like Sun City, Sun City West and SaddleBrooke can help too.
Pools, solar and HOA rules in the Valley
Pools are part of daily life in the Phoenix suburbs and Tucson, and so are the businesses that build, clean, repair and resurface them. Solar is just as common, with many homes adding panels and batteries. Most newer neighborhoods have HOAs that review changes to roofs, paint, walls and landscaping. A page that explains how you handle HOA submittals, with examples from Gilbert, Chandler or Peoria communities, shows customers you know the process and saves them a headache.
Real data from one of our sites
A client site we built, tracked in Search Console with the name hidden. It's not in Arizona, but the growth pattern is typical for a new local site.
Mistakes we see on Arizona sites
- Only "Phoenix" on the page when most jobs are in Gilbert or Surprise.
- No ROC number. Homeowners check it.
- Summer pages that go up in July. Have them live by May.
- Desert stock photos for a Flagstaff business. Show your real work.
How we work
- Get your price in the website price calculator.
- List your cities, Valley suburbs or towns.
- We write the pages with your ROC number and job photos.
- You review and ask for changes.
- We launch and match your Google Business Profile.
Price
$299 base, $15 per extra page, never more than $630. A Mesa pool company with four services and pages for Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek and Tempe pays $299 plus 8 × $15, or $419. For trades, see websites for HVAC companies, websites for landscapers and websites for roofers.
