Websites for Minnesota businesses
Most Minnesotans live in or around the Twin Cities, and the suburbs there are markets of their own: Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Edina, Plymouth, Maple Grove, Woodbury, Eagan, Lakeville, Blaine and many more. Outside the metro, Duluth anchors the North Shore, Rochester revolves around the Mayo Clinic, St. Cloud is the center of the state, and Mankato serves the south. Up north, lake country around Brainerd, Alexandria and Detroit Lakes is full of cabins.
People search by suburb or town. A site that names them and shows local jobs earns the calls.
Where Minnesota searches for web design
Minneapolis leads at 480 searches a month, St. Paul shows 170 and Duluth 140. Rochester shows 40, Eden Prairie 30, and St. Cloud and Mankato around 20.

That's the map for plumbers in Minneapolis. Frozen pipes and old homes keep plumbing searches high in winter.
| What people type into Google | US searches per month |
|---|---|
| web design minnesota | 210 |
Statewide searches are strong. "Web design minnesota", "minnesota web design" and "web design in minnesota" each show about 210 a month in Ads, and the MN versions the same. DataForSEO puts "web design minnesota" at 320 and "web design companies in minnesota" at 140.

Minnesota's markets
Minneapolis and St. Paul. Older homes with boilers, knob-and-tube wiring and old sewer lines. Neighborhoods like Northeast, Longfellow, Highland Park and Mac-Groveland are searched by name.
The suburbs. Newer homes, HOAs and families. Each suburb deserves its own page if you work there.
Duluth and the North Shore. Steep hills, lake weather, tourism and cabins up the shore.
Rochester, St. Cloud and Mankato. Strong regional cities with medical, college and manufacturing employers.
Lake country. Cabin openings and closings, docks, septic and seasonal caretaking.

Licenses
Minnesota's Department of Labor and Industry licenses residential building contractors and remodelers, plus electricians and plumbers, and homeowners can look up a license online. We show your license numbers in the footer and on the about page.
Winter shapes everything
Long, cold winters drive furnace and boiler repair, snow removal, ice dam steaming, frozen pipes and garage doors. Spring brings roofing after hail and lawn care. Summer is short and busy, with decks, siding, painting and lake work packed into a few months.

Twin Cities suburbs, one by one
The Twin Cities metro has more than 180 cities and townships, and customers search their own. West of Minneapolis, Minnetonka, Wayzata, Plymouth, Maple Grove and Eden Prairie have larger homes and lakes. South of the river, Bloomington, Burnsville, Apple Valley, Lakeville, Eagan and Savage have newer neighborhoods. North and east, Blaine, Coon Rapids, Woodbury, Stillwater and White Bear Lake each have their own feel. A contractor working across the metro should give the suburbs that bring the most jobs their own pages, with photos from local work.
Older homes in the cities
Minneapolis and St. Paul are full of homes from the early 1900s: bungalows, foursquares and duplexes in neighborhoods like Longfellow, Powderhorn, Kingfield, Como and Hamline-Midway. They come with boilers, old wiring, plaster walls, cast iron drains and stone foundations. Lead pipe replacement, insulation and window upgrades are common projects. Contractors who know this housing should say so plainly.
Greater Minnesota
Rochester has the Mayo Clinic and a steady flow of visitors and new residents. Duluth has hills, lake-effect weather and a growing outdoor tourism scene. St. Cloud, Mankato, Willmar, Brainerd and Bemidji are regional centers serving wide areas. Cabin country, from the Brainerd Lakes to the Iron Range and the North Shore, has many seasonal homes that need opening, closing, docks, septic and caretaking.
