Websites for Missouri businesses
Missouri has two big metros on opposite sides of the state. St. Louis spreads across St. Louis County, St. Charles County and into Illinois. Kansas City straddles the Kansas line, with Lee's Summit, Independence, Blue Springs and Liberty on the Missouri side. Between them, Columbia has Mizzou, Jefferson City is the capital and Springfield anchors the Ozarks, with Branson and the Lake of the Ozarks bringing tourism.

Licenses
Missouri leaves most contractor licensing to cities and counties, and St. Louis County, Kansas City and Springfield each have their own rules. We list each license you hold with the office that issued it.

St. Louis is a city of small towns
St. Louis County has about 90 municipalities, from Kirkwood and Webster Groves to Ballwin, Chesterfield, Florissant, Maplewood and University City. Customers identify strongly with their town, and many towns have their own permit rules. Inside the city, neighborhoods like Soulard, Lafayette Square, the Central West End, Tower Grove and South City are known for brick homes, some more than a century old, with old sewer lines, tuckpointing needs, slate roofs and plaster walls. Contractors who work on this housing should talk about it directly.
St. Charles County, west across the Missouri River, has grown quickly, with O'Fallon, St. Peters, Wentzville and Lake St. Louis full of newer homes. Jefferson County to the south is growing too.
Springfield and the Ozarks
Springfield's 880 searches a month show how many owners there are looking for help online. The city has Missouri State, a large healthcare sector and Bass Pro's headquarters. Nixa, Ozark, Republic, Willard and Rogersville have grown around it. South toward Branson, tourism, theaters, lake homes on Table Rock and rentals shape the economy. Lake of the Ozarks, in the middle of the state, has thousands of lake homes that need docks, seawalls, boat lifts and caretaking.
Trades that do well online in Missouri
HVAC. Hot, humid summers and cold winters.
Roofing. Hail and wind across the state, especially in spring.
Foundation repair and waterproofing. Clay soils and older homes mean cracked foundations and wet basements.
Tuckpointing and masonry. A big category in St. Louis, where brick homes need regular care.
Plumbing and sewer. Old lines in St. Louis and Kansas City.
Dock builders and lake services. Lake of the Ozarks and Table Rock Lake.
Missouri website design for two-state metros
Good Missouri website design starts with the map. A Kansas City business may get half its calls from Johnson County, and a St. Louis contractor may drive to Belleville, Edwardsville and O'Fallon in Illinois every week. Each side has different licenses, different permit offices and customers who search their own town. We plan a page for each place that brings real work and keep the license details right for each state.
