Websites for Virginia businesses
Virginia is several markets in one. Northern Virginia, Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William, is part of the DC metro. Richmond is the capital and anchors Central Virginia, with Henrico, Chesterfield and Midlothian around it. Hampton Roads, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Newport News and Hampton, has the Navy and the beach. Fredericksburg sits between NoVA and Richmond, and Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Roanoke and the Shenandoah Valley head west.

Northern Virginia is its own market
Northern Virginia, from Arlington and Alexandria out through Fairfax, Reston, Herndon, Ashburn, Leesburg, Manassas and Woodbridge, has some of the highest incomes in the country and very high expectations. Customers here compare several companies, read reviews carefully and want clear answers about licensing, insurance, warranties and timelines. Many work for the federal government or contractors and move often, so they arrive without local referrals.
HOAs are everywhere in Loudoun and Prince William counties, with rules about roofing, siding, fences and paint. A page that explains how you handle HOA approvals can tip a customer your way.
Hampton Roads and the coast
Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton, Newport News and Williamsburg make up the largest metro in the state by some measures. The Navy, shipyards and tourism drive the economy. Military families move often, so they search for movers, cleaners, property managers and contractors who can work quickly. Low-lying neighborhoods flood during storms and king tides, and homes face hurricanes and nor'easters. Elevation, drainage, roofing and mold remediation are real search topics.
Richmond and the west
Richmond's older neighborhoods, the Fan, Museum District, Church Hill and Northside, have row houses and early 1900s homes with plaster, old wiring and slate roofs. Henrico, Chesterfield and Hanover counties have suburbs that keep growing. Further west, Charlottesville has UVA and many old farmhouses, Lynchburg and Roanoke are regional centers, and the Shenandoah Valley has towns like Harrisonburg, Staunton and Winchester.
