Websites for Oregon businesses
Most Oregonians live in the Willamette Valley, from Portland and its suburbs down through Salem, Albany, Corvallis and Eugene. Beaverton, Hillsboro, Lake Oswego, Tigard, Gresham and Happy Valley each get searched by name. East of the Cascades, Bend and Redmond have grown fast. Medford and Grants Pass anchor Southern Oregon, and the coast has its own small towns.

Oregon's regions
Portland metro. Older homes in the city, newer ones in Happy Valley and Hillsboro. Many businesses also serve Vancouver and Clark County in Washington; see web design in Washington State.
Willamette Valley. Salem, Albany, Corvallis, Eugene and Springfield. University towns and farm country.
Central Oregon. Bend, Redmond and Sisters. Fast growth, second homes and outdoor tourism.
Southern Oregon and the coast. Medford, Ashland, Grants Pass and coastal towns. Wildfire smoke and seasonal tourism shape the year.

Licenses
Oregon's Construction Contractors Board licenses contractors, and customers are told to check a CCB number before hiring. We put it in the footer, on the about page and near the quote form.
For trades, see websites for landscapers and websites for remodelers. Neighbors: website design in California, web design idaho and web design nevada. For a city example, see web design in Seattle.
Portland's suburbs and neighborhoods
Portland customers search by neighborhood and suburb more than many cities. Inside the city, Sellwood, Hawthorne, Alberta, St. Johns and the West Hills each have different housing, from 1910s bungalows to mid-century homes on hillsides. Older houses mean knob-and-tube wiring, oil tank decommissioning, seismic retrofits, old sewer lines and lead paint. Outside the city, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard, Tualatin, Lake Oswego, West Linn, Oregon City, Happy Valley, Gresham and Milwaukie each get searched on their own. A contractor who works across the metro should give the biggest suburbs their own pages.
Bend and Central Oregon
Bend has grown from a small mill town into one of the most popular places to live in the West. New homes, second homes and short-term rentals keep builders, landscapers, HVAC companies, cleaners and property managers busy. Redmond, Sisters, Sunriver, La Pine and Prineville are close by. The high desert climate means hot dry summers, cold nights, snow in winter and wildfire smoke in late summer.
The Willamette Valley and Southern Oregon
Salem, Keizer, Albany, Corvallis, Eugene and Springfield sit along I-5 with farmland, wineries and two big universities. Rental housing near campuses keeps property managers busy. Medford, Ashland, Grants Pass and Klamath Falls in Southern Oregon have hotter summers, wildfire risk and many retirees.
Trades that do well online in Oregon
Roofing and gutters. Rain, moss and wind in the west, snow in Central Oregon. Moss removal and roof cleaning are real search categories.
HVAC and heat pumps. Many homes are switching from oil and gas furnaces to heat pumps, and customers ask about rebates. We describe the programs you work with without promising amounts.
Seismic retrofits and foundations. Older homes in Portland are often bolted to their foundations as a precaution.
Landscaping. Drainage, native plants, irrigation in the drier east and fire-safe landscaping.
Remodelers and ADU builders. Portland's rules allow accessory dwelling units, and many homeowners search for builders who handle them.
Cleaning and property management. Short-term rentals in Bend and on the coast.
